Plains and Pine seeks to inspire and encourage quilters to make a modern star quilt pattern through quilt patterns and online education. Lindlee Smith is the one woman show behind Plains and Pine. She released her first quilt pattern in 2021 (Big Sky Star Quilt) and in 2025 published her first book (Lone Star Legacy Quilts). She doesn't get tired of making star quilts and dreaming up new star quilt designs and variations. She loves helping people overcome fears they might have regarding star quilts and techniques.
