Required Supplies: - Fabric for centers, background 1, and background 2 of blocks. A variety of coordinating fabrics is recommended. Students will roughly want about a gallon size bag full of scraps around 3” or larger for this workshop. - Bauble Block pattern required (purchase in person in class)
Optional Supplies: - Scissors for trimming - shared scissors will be provided but you may wish to have your own to maximize class time - Seam roller
Prep Requirements: Please have the fabric you wish to use for the center of the blocks precut to 2.5". For the backgrounds, precut to 2.5" strips will work well. Charm packs, jellyrolls, and mini charm packs will work for this class.
Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) is a game-changing technique every quilter should have in their creative toolkit—and this workshop is the perfect place to start! Using Allie’s playful Bauble Block pattern, students will learn the fundamentals of FPP while creating a striking block that’s both beginner-friendly and full of personality. With the opportunity to fussy cut and highlight favorite fabric motifs at the center, this project blends precision with creativity.
