Optional Supplies: - Rotary mat/cutter/ruler (these are provided in the classroom, but having some extras will allow all students to move along through each step quickly).
Ready to take your improv quilting to the next level? This workshop is all about growth, creativity, and personal expression through improvisation. Students will work with specific prompts and parameters to create uniquely styled improv, while also learning how to develop their own prompts to keep stretching their skills. This workshop will also explore how to build a cohesive quilt using structured guidelines around shape, design style, piecing techniques, and even emotional themes. Interested in joining a quilting bee? This workshop offers a taste of that collaborative, challenge-based experience—similar to the kinds of prompts you might encounter in an improvisational quilting bee.
