Prep Requirements: If you are not purchasing the Olhau Paper Templates from Karen you will need to print out the template sheet and cut out ready. One block will be enough for class. Don't forget to always print out at 100% no scale and measure the 1" square for accuracy.
Inspired by the beautiful tiles in Olhão, Portugal, Karen has designed a striking English Paper Piecing (EPP) block that offers a perfect introduction to curved EPP. In this workshop, students will learn all the techniques needed to create this eye-catching block, with a focus on glue basting and flat back stitching. Karen will also guide students through fabric placement strategies to enhance the repeat pattern and overall design. Whether used as a single block for a mini quilt, bag, or incorporated into larger projects, this versatile design provides the foundation for endless creative possibilities.
