To make sure your EQ8 is ready, please log onto the computer you will be using in class at least a week before you leave home. Make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet and then open EQ8. This will validate your EQ license if you have not used this computer and/or EQ8 in a while. Activation happens behind the scenes when the computer is connected to the internet. It’s very important to do this before class as we will not have time in class to get EQ8 activated and working properly. - Power cord for the laptop

This beginner-friendly workshop is perfect for those new to Electric Quilt 8 (EQ8) and unsure where to begin. Students will discover the versatility of EQ8 and learn how to leave behind traditional pencil-and-graph-paper methods by mastering the software’s essential functions.
The workshop covers how to navigate the block and quilt worktables, use library blocks and fabrics, import personal fabric collections, design custom blocks, and build a complete quilt top—all within EQ8.
Students must bring their own laptop and power supply, with EQ8 installed and activated.
