Michelle believes in the power of using text in quilting to express personal stories and foster connection. Inspired by Brené Brown’s words, “I now see how owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do,” Michelle shares how incorporating text into her work has been both healing and empowering.
In this workshop, she guides students through the process of creating letters and text using hand appliqué techniques. Whether telling a personal story or adding meaningful phrases to a piece, students will learn how to bring their voice into their quilts through expressive text.
