Susan is a contemporary quilter fascinated by the potential of simple shapes and color. In her current work, she gives energy to basic geometric shapes through strategic arrangement, varied scale, and vibrant color choices to develop engaging compositions. Her design process is an evolving blend of intention and intuition. Construction techniques include a substantial emphasis on traditional precision piecing, particularly when working with circles and curves. She has earned national recognition through juried exhibitions, awards, and publications.
