Join Kimberly and take your first steps toward becoming a true Cordwainer! In this workshop, students will create a custom pair of sneakers using the versatile SneakerKit. Choose from a variety of materials—quilted fabric, leather, suede, vinyl, or any material you feel you can work with to cut into a pattern and sew onto a sole.
Students will need to purchase a SneakerKit in their size, which includes soles, insoles, and access to a digital pattern (also included in the kit). The online pattern library offers at least six different styles, including sandal-inspired options perfect for summer.
Throughout the workshop, Kimberly will guide students through every step: tracing and cutting the pattern, punching holes for laces and soles, and assembling the shoes. By the end of this workshop, each student will walk away with a one-of-a-kind, handmade pair of sneakers.
