Students will explore curved piecing and create an ombré gradient using scrappy fabrics, all while working on a project from Sylvia's new book, Modern Scrap Quilts. This quilt is designed to help quilters make the most of their fabric stash, creating a dramatic fade-out effect into the negative space with scrap fabrics. Students will spend time sorting through their scraps, discussing which prints work best for this technique, and learning how to piece curves for a project featuring 3" finished blocks.
