Mix and match multiple motifs to create a modern free-motion mash-up! This improvisational technique can be applied to any quilt, whether you want your quilting to be the star of the show, or you simply want to add a bit of background texture to your quilt.
In this jam-packed workshop, students will practice drawing the designs in their sketchbooks, then quilt them on physical practice samples or orphan blocks. Students will learn how to combine and design two or more free-motion filler motifs into something entirely new. After taking this workshop, they’ll be able to apply what they’ve learned by quilting these designs on full-sized quilts once they return home. Sewing machines generously provided by event sponsors!
