MJ Kinman’s passion is creating quilts inspired by lovely gems. Her work has been exhibited at the National Quilt Museum, the International Quilt Museum, Quilt Festival, Festival of Quilts (Birmingham, UK), and Art Quilt Elements 2024 Biennial.

Her work is included in private collections, including Maker’s Mark Distillery, the National Quilt Museum, and the International Quilt Museum. MJ’s patterns feature gems easily customizable by makers. Her book, "Gemstone Quilts", was released by C&T Publishing in 2020. Her second book, "Cracking the Color Code", was released in 2025.
